I got permission to go to jury duty but on the day I was to attend jury duty I got sick and didn't go. My boss asked me what the trial was about when i returned to work but I couldn't tell him. He fired me for not calling him to tell him I was sick. i didn't think I had to do that since I had permission to be off anyway.
